She was born in Sandusky, Ohio on April 11, 1947. Phyllis graduated from Sandusky High School in 1965 and received an art history degree from The Ohio State University. She was married to Frederick William Stimler on October 7, 1972. Phyllis worked as a teacher in suburban Philadelphia and as an administrative assistant at a nursery school in New York City. Phyllis created beautiful knit and crochet work and helped seniors with computer software. She is survived by her brother, Robert Zlasney (Tip), son Frederick Benjamin Stimler (Laura Catherine Stimler) and grandchildren, Charlotte Elizabeth and Zachary Frederick Stimler.
Her Celebration of Life will be held from 2:30-5pm on November 11, 2025 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home.
