Rebecca Merriman Luke

Becky was born on Sept. 24, 1946, in Bassett, Va. A graduate of Basset High School, Class of ’64, Becky continued her education daily by embracing life with an open mind and heart. She raised her daughters in Stuart, Va., and moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., in 1988 to continue her career. There, she was blessed to meet and marry her beloved husband Larry Luke. She recently retired after working nearly 30 years for ASC-Meyners, Inc., and took great pride in her work and the lasting relationships she developed. She will be remembered most for her kindness, loyalty, generosity, and, most importantly, for being an amazing Mom.

Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Luke; her parents, J. Fred and Margaret Merriman; her sisters, Margaret Norman, Elizabeth Cecil, Francis Holcomb, and Mae Puckett; and her brother, John Merriman.

Becky is survived by her daughters, Kristi Kadlubowski of Jacksonville, Fla., and Courtney Akers of Apex, N.C.; her dog, Pico of the home; and an extended family of nephews, nieces, and treasured friends.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 400 San Juan Drive, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow.
