Sally Brown Basso, 66, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida passed away peacefully in her home on March 31, 2024. Born on December 28, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Joel Brown and late Doris Elaine Pfau. She was married to John Basso on June 4, 1983. Sally graduated from Loyola College with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes in 1984, she graciously fought visual impairment, neuropathy, a pancreas transplant, and two kidney transplants over the course of her adult life. Her fierce love and dedication to her family and friends was endless. Spirited, feisty, and adamant, she empowered others to reach their full potential. Her sense of humor was contagious. She was the epitome of selflessness.
Sally worked for CSX transportation for over a decade where she became vice president of human resources. She was a devout Christian and volunteered at Christ Episcopal Church in the Stephen, Shepard, Usher and Cursillo Ministries. She served 20+ years as Lector Ministry leader and was a recipient of the Christ Church Service Cross. She had a passion for travel, cooking, the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Gina Weeks and husband Daniel, and son Anthony; her sister Pamela Brown; two granddaughters, Micayla Basso and Allegra Weeks; two grandsons, Jacob Basso and William Weeks, in addition to many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 11am at Christ Episcopal Church, 400 San Juan Drive, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082.
