Known by her countless friends as "Senny", she was affectionately called "Yaya" by her immediate family.
Senny graduated from the University of the East and received her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1964.
She was married for 59 years to her beloved husband and soulmate, Edward B. Perona on January 30, 1964.
Senny was a schoolteacher for many years in the Philippines, then worked as a civilian for the U.S. Navy while her husband served a full career in the Navy. She was a member of the Masonic Travelers Ladies Auxiliary of Jacksonville.
Her true passion was her unyielding Catholic faith, and her great and whole-hearted love for her three grandchildren: Logan (23), Evan (20) and Rachel (16). In addition, Senny spoke lovingly and often spoiled her fur babies Tsin Tsin and Kylo. She also had a great passion and fondness for animals.
To the dismay of her husband, her other passion was shopping. A lot of shopping.
Senny is survived by her husband Edward B. Perona, daughter Elaine Macomb (Ron Macomb), son Edward D. Perona (Susan Perona), her three beloved grandchildren Logan Macomb, Evan Perona, and Rachel Perona, fur-baby Kylo, and her sisters Remy Santos and Corrie Moran. She was preceded by her parents (Angel & Agapita), 3 siblings (Pining, Angel Jr., and Virgilio) and her first fur-baby Tsin Tsin.
The family will receive friends for the visitation from 5-8 p.m. (rosary to be said at 6:30), Wednesday, March 29, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., March 30, at St. Paul's Catholic Church of Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
