Born June 17, 1944 in Massillon Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Herbert Theken and Eleanor Hazel McMannis.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Frank Paul Nopper; two daughters, Lynn Puscas and Ann Gann; four grandchildren, JC, Erin, Brittany and Cooper. She has now been reunited with her late son, Frank John Nopper, her parents and her brother Johnny.
Shirley had many hobbies such as gardening, bowling, attending the Jaguars games and spending time with her family. If you know Shirley than you know that she loved her football and tailgating. As a Jaguar season ticket holder she was known for always saying a “whammy” for the opposing team during the games. She was also known for how kind she treated others and always staying happy and positive while fighting through her cancer for over five years.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Saturday, June 29th at 12:30pm at the Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens at 1701 Beach Boulevard. Since Shirley loved her Jacksonville Jaguars the family will be hosting one last tailgate event for her. Please plan to attend wearing one of your Jaguar or football T-shirts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society @ donate.lls.org.
