Dear Katie, I didn't know Steve very well but we all grew up at the beaches together, and I know how much you and he loved each other.  When my brother died, a friend told me sometimes God needs people to help Him in Heaven. Steve's memory will always be alive here as he looks over you. I send you my deepest sympathies from my family to yours. You're always in my thoughts and prayers, Sincerely Paul.

I love Steve like a little brother. His big hugs and huge smile always melted my troubles away. He was good through and through. Many condolences and sympathy for Katie and Jake and the rest of his family. He was so loved by many.

Hixon surf team 1989 drove a Astrovan to California to compete in NSSA Nationals. Joey Mercer Kris James Tony Domingo Steve Dompe and more. Was the greatest time for me. Steve was a great influencer for my future life which has been amazing. I owe the “dong” nickname from the trip my character and who I am today.  He is a great human and profound person in my life! Keep ripping Steve!

I had brief interactions with Steve after our mutual friend, Greg Gause, put us in touch. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing and pray for his family’s healing. My interactions with Steve showed much honesty and integrity and  I pray his family is healed by all the fond memories of him.

Every day we think about you, Steve. 
So many memories. So many good times.
Florida to New York to California.  
You’ll  always be a Jaguars fan, but the Cowboys were the first.  

You worked so hard everyday and achieved so much.
Your entire family is so proud of you.  

Now you can fish every day. Have fun, my friend.

Steve ,Judi and I are heartbroken that you are gone!from the first day I met you I knew you were special, when you came to work with us I was excited to get you on board , you always gave it your all in everything you did. We appreciate all you did for us.
I was so excited to see you go into business for yourself and your family, I remember you thinking you couldn’t pass the test but you did it and we were so proud of that moment in your life!!
You were a great friend and you will be missed by so many that knew you!!
May you now rest peace with the Almighty God .

A special five year milestone! And here he is at 10 ❤️ so proud!

When God passed out sons, he gave us the best one! He was perfect. That sweet smile and such a joy to be around. He had a zest of life. His fossil hunting was epic. He never did anything halfway.  He was all in. At his sister’s rollerskating birthday party he had never skated before, but he entered the race and said I’m gonna win it! So much confidence and so much joy. His sense of adventure lasted throughout his life. Skydiving. Kayaking down creeks with alligators all around. He was a pure soul in every sense of the word. Loved everyone and never asked anything of anyone. Love to give us surprises like flying out on New Year’s Day to surprise us. He truly pulled him himself up from the boot straps and became plumbing contractor starting his own company and did it so well We are so proud of him. Nothing can take that away, but to lose him at 51 is hard to accept. We wanted to love him so many more years and we wanted his love to which he always gave freely. But he’s there with the Lord now and at peace and surfing the big waves in heaven. We will miss you every day of our lives dear Steven.

I know Steve’s parents Joyce and Leo, through their cousin Bette, who were kind enough to invite us both over for dinner during Bette’s first visit to my house here after I moved to San Diego. Joyce and I soon started walking together, usually at the beach, and I remember how Steve would often send her beautiful pictures of a Florida sunrise at the beach with a lovely message. I thought how sweet it was for him to take a few minutes out of a busy day to do that. He was obviously a kind and caring person who loved his family very much. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.  💕Kathy S

When you said friend you meant it. I always thought you'd be around. I like to think I'm a better man because you were my friend. I know I'm a better Father because of the example you set.  I love you brother. I will see you again.

You were loved more than you could have imagined. Your passing is devastating to everyone who knew you. We all love you Steve.

Steve was like a big brother to me he took me under his wing 10 years ago and taught me everything I know about plumbing. I have worked side by side with Steve every day for 10 years. I can’t even begin to express how much he meant to me and how much I’m going to miss him. This last couple days have been brutal trying to work knowing he would never be in the van with me again. Who do I get plumbing advice from now? He was more than a boss he was a mentor, best friend, brother and the best plumber I have ever known there was not a problem he could not solve. Steve you are definitely loved, respected and going to be missed by me. Until we meet again love you bro.

Dad, I will cherish all the amazing memories we made together losing you has been the hardest thing that has ever happened to me you were the kindest and most loving man I have ever met you would he would of given me his last dry pair of socks of it meant I was dry and he would of done the same for everyone else he loved. I will miss you forever dad even though you are gone you will still and always be my dad. I miss going fishing with you and just sitting on the bank talking with you and hearing all your funny and crazy stories. You were loved by everyone who’s met you and your memory will live on. I miss you so much dad and I will love for the rest of eternity and I will miss you every day  until we met again on that golden shore I love you dad
