Susan Hudley

She was born in Lorrain, Ohio on October 3, 1942, the daughter of Carris F. and Dorthea (Bryant) Marmie. Susan graduated from Whitehall Yearling High School, Class of 1961. Following graduation, she worked for the State of Ohio as an executive secretary, and finally retiring from Liberty Mutual in 2005.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, always putting others before herself. She had the most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life. Susan especially enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. However, the single most important detail of her life she would want to be remembered for was her love of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Richard L. Marmie and Robert T. Marmie, and ex-husband with whom she remained close, Jon L. Hundley.

She is survived by her beloved sister, Deborah J. McKeever with whom she travelled the U.S. and enjoyed many adventures with to include skydiving in their 70’s. Also, survived by her children, Kathryn A. Rice (Louie), Jon Matthew Hundley, Carol R. Walters (Bob), and Stephanie L. Hundley; twelve grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, and many friends at Wolfe Creek Condominium Community.

Susan requested no formal funeral services but that her ashes be scattered by her children in the Atlantic ocean. Those who wish to remember Susan in a special way may make gifts in her memory to any charitable foundation that supports our military veterans.
