October 26, 2016. Born February 8, 1928 in Jacksonville, Florida to Dr. Ludwig and Mrs. Cordie
Eulenfeld of Orange Park, Florida, Wanda spent her formative years in Houston, Texas. She
returned to Jacksonville as a young woman to work in her brother's pharmacy on the corner of
Blanding and 103rd. Little did she know that she would meet the love of her life scooping
Neapolitan ice cream at the pharmacy. A young pilot by the name of Whitt Solomon Brown
spotted her and shortly thereafter literally swept her off her feet at a Panama City air show.
Wanda and Whitt were married December 18, 1948 and spent 68 blessed years together raising
a family of three girls - Lark Roberts (T.S.), Tamara Williams, and Felicia Bullock (Stanley).
Wanda had an early career in retail which led her to complete her dream of owning her own gift
store in Avondale followed by an antique store - a passion she also shared with Whitt. She later
became an Executive Secretary at The Charter Oil Company, The Charter Marketing Company
and the PGA Tour, where she retired in 1994. She served on the Altar Guild and Flower Guild
at St. John's Cathedral in downtown Jacksonville and Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Augustine.
At Trinity, she found her true calling as one of the members of The Daughters of the King,
serving as President. Wanda had an amazing eye for color and design, as an avid oil painter in
early adulthood and drafting and designing their beach home in North Beach, St. Augustine.
With her beautiful smile and compassionate heart, she filled her home with laughter and grace.
Her loving legacy survives in her children, grandchildren - Virginia Dawidowicz (Pete), Spencer
Roberts (Sarah), Grace Hamlin (Curtis), Anna Williams, Lindsay and Lee Bullock - and great
grandchildren - Hannah, Sarah, Rebekah, Noah, Samuel, Josiah and Judah Dawidowicz, Quinn
and Joshua Roberts and Margaret Hamlin. A Memorial Service and reception celebrating the
life of Wanda will be held at Christ Episcopal Church on All Saints Day - Tuesday, November 1
at 11:00 a.m. Wanda and Whitt have had a dream to bring clean drinking water to a community
in need. To help them realize their dream, donations in lieu of flowers are being accepted for
The Clean Water Fund of Episcopal Relief and Development. To make a donation, please call
