Yoshiko Ellison age 83, born in Tokyo Japan on Jan. 1, 1931, a beloved Mother, and much loved friend to those at the Beaches Senior's Citizen Center, left this earth for her place in Heaven to "dance" with the angels.
"Little Momma, or "Yoshi" as she was known to many who loved her, was such a special lady to all who were lucky enough to know her. She was such a giver and loved to give to others as she never let a holiday or special day go by without recognizing others with a little homemade gift, bag of candy or treat to give to her dear friends at the Senior center. She loved that Senior center as it made her day just to sit at her round table with her group of special friends. She loved each and every one there.
She loved to dance, especially doing the electric slide at the center, or doing the beach bop and she enjoyed playing bingo and often bragged how she won those canned vegetables as a prize. She had so much joy in little gratitudes. That center brought her much happiness as well as did her friends whom she had lunch with daily there. From the ladies in the kitchen to the director of the center, she thought the world of them. Several ladies even at the checkout counter at WalMart knew her, and she would walk in and say, "I know her..she's very nice and helps me all the time." We couldn't go anywhere without someone being touched by Little Momma.
The greatest gift of all is that Little Momma is leaving behind a legacy of giving with that characteristic being instilled in her children, Richard Lee Elllison, an Engineer from Lake Jackson, Texas, her daughter, Linda Sue Ellison-Fontenot, a retired registered nurse and CEO/owner of a school and day spa in Jacksonville, Florida and four grandchildren, one whom was accepted to medical school at the University of Wisconsin, and a graduate of the Air Force Academy, Ciani Ellison, Rachel Ellison, Sean Ellison, a ROTC cadet at the University of Houston, and Gabriel Ellison.
The world isn't going to be the same without you and Heaven isn't going to be the same with you as you will light up the sky with your angelic energy and great loving personality! You will be missed each and every day and our hearts hurt to see you go so soon. Know that we love you so very much, and no one could be a better mother who sacrificed so much for her kids. Your life of giving was so unselfish and you did it because you were sincerely genuine about it. We love you Momma and hope to see you soon in Heaven...tell Daddy hello...I'm sure he's so happy to see you...but we will miss you! Thank you for being the best mother ever! A viewing is scheduled at Hardage Giddings 1701 Beach Blvd.on Thursday at 6pm.
Please don't send flowers, but yet make a donation to the Beaches Senior's Citizen Center 281 19Th Ave. S Jacksonville, Fl. 32250 in Yoshi's name.
