

Alex M. Williams, 84 of Jacksonville passed away on July 4, 2013. He is preceded by his wife Patricia Greene Williams, and their son Kirk A. Williams, parents Alex M. Williams, Sr. and Myrtis Ogden Crummey, step-father Walt Crummey, and brothers Dillon Williams and Billy Frank Williams. Alex is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years Victory Williams, son Mark Alex Williams, daughter Robin Elizabeth Blake (Mark), sisters Merley Crummey, Mavis Highsmith (Carl), Margie Crabb, Judy Kennedy (Jimmy), and Sue Shuman (Larry), grandchildren Ryan Alex Williams, Matt Alex Williams and Ever Elizabeth Blake, numerous nieces and nephews. Alex proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired with 35 years of dedicated service to the Chevron Oil Company. Alex enjoyed fresh water fishing and watching River Monsters. He will be remembered as a man of strong faith, love of family, and kind heart. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or Alzheimer’s Association. Pastor Tim McDaniel will officiate the services.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jax. FL 32205. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm in the Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 pm. Entombment is to follow at Riverside Memorial Park located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax., FL 32205.
