Fred was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on May 20, 1954 and also spent some of his formative young years in Phoenix, AZ, but “Home” was in South Florida since 1969; West Palm Beach, and later, Jupiter/Juno Beach.
He met the love of his life, and she became his wife in 1991, Carmen A. Malette. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred A. & Florence J. Malette, his brother Bruce A. Malette, his beloved wife, Carmen Malette, and his nephew Keith Lashells. He is survived by his sisters, Michele Lashells (Ralph), Linda Davis, Robin DeMonaco (Charlie) and nephews, Jason, Shawn, Kevin & Joe, as well as many great nephews and nieces.
Fred led an incredible life. He was blessed to be a Master Carpenter, loved sailing, lived on sailboats and met his lovely wife, Carmen, at a marina! With such a big family and a lifetime of friends surrounding him, he was, indeed, encircled by love throughout his life and during his last days.
Fred chose to have a small, un-announced, private ceremony. His ashes will be interred next to his “Little Girl”, as was his endearing name for Carmen, in Riverside Memorial Park located at 19351 SE County Line Rd, Tequesta, FL 33469.
Fred and Carmen both held St. Jude Children’s Hospital near and dear to their hearts, and asked that charitable contributions in his memory be made to them; 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105 or by phone 1-800- 805-5856 or visit their website at https://www.stjude.org. “Fast Freddy” his nick name known by many, placed his faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is now “Free Freddy”.
“nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39
