Alice L. Mitchell, (GiGi, Nanny Alice, Big Al) 84 years old, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, April 16, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Sanderson, FL on March 24, 1931 to Lindley and Gracie (Bethea) Alderman. She was preceded in death by her parents. Alice was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. She enjoyed cooking, baking, spending time with friends and family, and was an avid bunco player. Alice will be missed dearly by her loving husband Joe Mitchell; sons Jack Martin(Lori) and Jim Dykes; daughter Linda Overstreet (Richard); sisters Mary Manasco and Marie Sikes; grandchildren Brad, Jeff, Leesa (Joey), Brian,Jeremy (Sarina); Andrew, and Erika, 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchild; as well as a host of other family members and friends. Family will receive friends and family 6:00 – 9:00 pm Tuesday April 21, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL. 32205, www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
