Alma B. Dollar, was born August 20, 1922, Twiggs County, GA, the last of 4 sisters and 4 brothers. She married James William Dollar (deceased-October 24, 2000) in 1946. She is survived by her children, Donovan Dollar (Ellen), Patricia Barncord, Rodrick Dollar (Gale), 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In earlier years Alma was active as co-leader in Girl, Boy and Cub Scouts, neighborhood coordinator and worker for Cancer Crusades and was an active life member for 37 years in Lakeshore Women’s Club. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and crafts and was a long time member of St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends July 10, 2014 from 6-8:00 pm at Hardage Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL with service at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church, 4758 Shelby Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32210, July 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park cemetery.
