Angelita Maria Bowen

Angelita Maria Bowen, age 78, passed away November 7, 2019. She was born in Coatzacoalcos Veracruz Mexico on April 14,1941, and was a long time resident of Jacksonville Florida.

Angelita is preceded in death by her parents Santiago Espinosa Castillo and Maria Villanueva; her granddaughter Deedee Kay Bowen; and many family and friends. She is survived by her sisters and loving family members who reside in Mexico; her 7 children Jim Bowen, John Bowen, Herman Bowen, Eric Bowen (Tammy), Walter Hughes, Thurston Hughes(Cindy), and Margie Bowen (Terra) ; 10 grandchildren ; and 9 great grandchildren.

Angelita’s love for God showed through her and in her everyday life. Angelita loved sitting on her porch feeding and watching the squirrels run around and play. She had a special place in her heart for butterflies that carried over in her jewelry and decorations in her home. Her favorite family outing was going crabbing even when she was unable to throw the crab net she would sit with her chair in the water with a piece of chicken on a string and pull in the crabs close to her feet for her to scoop them up. She had a love for music, dancing and singing no matter where she was. She loved doing crossword puzzles, playing her Tetris game, and her arts and crafts.

Angelita was loved and respected by all who knew her and will forever be missed. Her smile, her laugh, her patience, her love, her kindness, her generosity, and words of wisdom will never be forgotten.

The memorial service will be Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Memorial Baptist Church, 6731 Ramona Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32205.

Memories with love for our dear Aunt Angelita, she lived very happily during her childhood in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz and Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, in Mexico, emigrated to the United States where she made a large family, we embraced with affection all our cousins ​​and their families, Rest in peace with Mr. Aunt Lita. 🙏❤️
