

Before Parkinson’s consumed her everyday living, Angelita was a phenomenal cook and loved to entertain with family and close friends of the church. She was a loyal and loving wife, mother, sister, auntie, and friend. She was a Secretary for the State of Florida, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for 20 years and retired in 1995 and was also a bookkeeper for WJCT – Channel 17 in 1972. She had a bachelor’s degree in Education from the Philippine Normal College and graduated in 1963. She was one of the pioneer members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo for the locale of Jacksonville, Florida. She was the 1st secretary of the church, a deaconess, an active member Buklod. Many friends around her can say that she was genuine, thoughtful, compassionate, and always greeted you with a smile.
In 1994, Angelita was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. In 1999, she put up a good fight against Parkinsons as she was a test subject for Mayo Clinic’s medical trials for Deep-Brain Stimulation (DBS). This procedure allowed her to be able to walk, talk, and minimize the tremors that the disease was commonly known for. Angelita was determined to make every moment meaningful and improve her quality of life for herself and her family for as long as the procedure would last.
Angelita is survived by her husband, Cesar, and her daughter, Arleen Colocar; Her grandchildren, Ava Baumgardner, Lilly Werling, Marissa & Tripp Hawkins, Madison Orduna, and Jessica Cruz & John George; Her great-grandchild, Gavin George; Her brother’s (Alfredo Camara) children, Odie, Nancy, Emar, and Nanneth; her brother’s (Dominador Camara) children, Bellia, Glenn, Daisy, Lynn, and Efren; and her sister’s (Rosita Camara Bajio) children, Nelson, Lily, Beth, Ariel, Roselie, and Liezle Bajio
A visitation for Angelita will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM with funeral service at 12:00 PM, followed by 1:00 PM burial at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
