Anna had a career in child support enforcement, having worked in the state of Ohio and most recently the state of Florida for the last 9 years. Helping others was a big part of Anna’s life and came naturally to her.
Anna lived for her children and poured her whole heart into being Nanna to her grandsons. She was a dedicated Ohio State Buckeye fan and loved to travel.
Anna is preceded in death by her mother, Doris J. Barbera. She is survived by her partner, Gabriel Schuman; father, Mike Barbera, Sr.; two sons, Cameron (Rebecca) Barbera and Jaron Barbera; grandchildren Kaiden and Karson; siblings Mike, Jr. (Peggy) Barbera, Cono Barbera, Helena Swearengin, Greg Barbera, James L. Barbera, Michele (Donnie) Hooper; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Anna's life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. The family will receive friends one hour prior at noon.
