

He was born on March 26, 1945, in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines, to Pio and Tomasa Estoesta. He graduated from Urdaneta Community High School in 1961 and enlisted in the United States Navy on January 20, 1967. He served during the Vietnam War and honorably served his country for 22 years. He retired on May 27, 1988.
He married Manuela Latonio in 1970, and together they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. They were blessed with two sons, Tom and James, and also lovingly raised their adopted children, Ferdinand, Annie, and Celeste, who are cherished members of the family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and ninong.
Following his retirement from the Navy, Papa Tony continued his life of service by working as a custodian with the school board. He especially treasured spending time with his grandchildren and lovingly babysat them, creating countless memories they will cherish forever.
Papa Tony loved gardening, fishing, cooking, listening to music, playing the lottery and scratch-off tickets, and serving with the Ilocano Association of Northeast Florida. He will be remembered for his caring, compassionate, and generous heart, his ever-present smile, his jolly spirit, and the friendly nature that made everyone around him feel welcome.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Manuela; his sons, Tom and James; his adopted children, Ferdinand, Annie, and Celeste; his cherished grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Victoriano, Jesus, Maura, Paulino and Pedro; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his two younger sisters, Manuela and Hilaria.
Visitation will be held at Riverside Event Pavilion, 1373 Memorial Park Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, US, on July 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5752 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32244, US, on July 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218, US, on July 16, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
