Azilee was born in Waycross, Georgia. After she graduated from high school, she started her career as a telephone operator with Southern Bell in Atlanta, GA and retired as a telephone operator with AT&T in Jacksonville, FL. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, collecting Miss Piggy memorabilia, as well as going to thrift shops and yard sales. She liked going to the Smokey Mountains, the beach, Kingsley Lake, and Walt Disney World. She loved the Georgia Bulldogs and her grand dogs.
She was predeceased by her father Ottie Lafayette Corbitt and her mother Eva Mae Tillman Corbitt. She was a beloved mother to her two children Charlene Sprague (Roy), Chuck Meredith (Lana). Her grandchildren Meredith Sprague, Nicholas Sprague, and Chase Meredith gave her immense joy. She is also survived by her siblings Josephine Tatum (Waycross, GA), Robert Corbitt (Rocky Mount, NC), Annette Corbitt (Blackshear, GA) and Donald Corbitt (Waycross, GA), as well as many nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home & Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL, 32205.
