Barbara was born on August 27, 1941, to Charles and Rose Rider in Choate, Texas. She was baptized into the Baptist Church.
Barbara is predeceased by her son Aurther Wayne McCarty; her Mother and Father; three husbands, James McCarty, Glenn Pettit, and Oscar Couch. SHe is also preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon and Eddie Rider, and her sister Joann King.
Barbara is survived by her brother Wayne Rider; her sister, Jackie Teague, her sons Wendell and Charlie McCarty, John Pettit, Oscar Couch III, and her daughter Vivian McCarty and many grandchildren.
