

Barbara Bell Pierce Dicks, age 81, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away April 13, 2020. Barbara was born on August 8, 1938 in Jacksonville. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. Barbara had a career in banking with Atlantic Bank and Barnett Bank. She was a honored lifetime member of the Moose Lodge, a member of the Cavalette Club and Faith United Methodist Church.
Barbara had a passion for life, shoes, and clowns. She enjoyed watching the Jaguars, Gators, NASCAR, and The Young and the Restless. But Barbara was especially known for her loving heart as she took in many kids who needed a little help, babysat for lots of children over the years, and called and prayed for anyone in need. She will be deeply and sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Hayward Pierce and Ruby Devevo (Toney); her sons Eugene Pickett and David R. Dicks; her grandson Baby Davy Moore; and brothers Joseph Wayne Pierce and Richard "Butch" Pierce.
She is survived by her son Kevin Dicks (Kristi); grandchildren Nick Sexton, David Anthony Dicks, Zachary Dicks, Zander Dicks, and Caden Charlton; brother Roland Pierce; and the many that called her Mom or Nana.
The family will hold private graveside service at Riverside Memorial Park. The family will hold a public memorial and celebration of life service at a later date to be announced at Faith United Methodist Church.
