Barbara A. Walters passed in peace on February 2, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Riverside at the age of 83. She is preceded in death by her parents, Evan Roll and Alice Burgess Denton; her husband, Paul Walters Jr.; her daughter, Jamie C. Hile; her sister Betty Jean Huffines; and brother, Jerry Roll.
She was born in Orleans, Indiana on October 28, 1935 and moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1964 to marry the love of her life. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie M. Suber (Billy); her sisters Georgia Lawry, Patricia Lehr, and Nona Evans; her grandchildren Koren Ferguson, Jason Jones (Carrie), Jeffrey Walters (Dana), Christopher Hile (Ashley), Ashley Woods (Kirby), and Alexander Suber; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
