Born February 1, 1941 in Smithfield Ohio, Barry was son of late John and Thelma Congressi. Preceding his death were his two sisters, Joan and Betty.
More than half of Barry’s life was spent in aeronautical test cell correlation programs: twenty years in the United States Navy, and twenty-five years in Federal Civil Service.
Barry is survived by his wife, Diane; four sons, John, Andrew, Mark, and Robert; one sister, Nancy Pozar; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held grave-side at the Jacksonville National Cemetery; the date has not yet been announced. An open celebration of life will take place at the American Legion, Post 137, on San Juan Boulevard post-services.
