Belle graduated from the University of the East in Manila with a degree in accounting and began working at the Bureau of Customs. She later moved to Canada, where she worked for Sears Roebuck & Co., and eventually worked as an accountant for the Navy Exchange in Jacksonville for many years before retiring. She was a devoted Catholic who attended Mass even when traveling and was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was very social and was always considered “the life of the party,” which often included home-cooked Filipino foods, music with dancing, and lots of karaoke. During retirement, she loved shopping, gambling, and spending time with family and friends, whom she held near and dear to her heart. Watching her grandkids grow and succeed were moments she treasured most. Belle also loved to travel and visited over 50 countries, some of them multiple times. If she happened to be at home long enough, she loved to play Mahjong with her friends and close family.
Belle is predeceased by her husband, Ernesto S. Almeria, and her siblings: Loretta T. Galanza, Eufrocina T. Dalauidao, Trinidad T. Beltran, and Gabriel Talosig. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Almeria Panganiban, and her husband, Dr. Rudolfo Panganiban, Jr., of Tampa, FL; her son, Ernest Talosig Almeria, and his wife, May Lee Almeria, of Bartlett, TN; her grandchildren, Alexa, Graysen, and Dylan Panganiban, and Kailee and Avery Almeria; her sisters, Vicenta T. Malenab and Thelma Talosig Josol; and her brothers, Dr. Pedro Talosig, Jr., and Antonio Talosig.
To the countless others that will never remain nameless but will and are forever etched in her and our hearts that were there adding the depth, clarity, and meaning to her and our lives, we will always be grateful. We realize that with each waking moment, it is this depth that we all seek and aspire to…where time is the only commodity, and memories spent with our family and friends are all that matters.
