Benny Cleveland Turner passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026. He was born July 1, 1950 in Lumberton, NC to the late Henry B. and Mattie Sue Simmons Turner. Ben graduated from Paxon Senior High School in 1969 and then served in the Navy until 1976. Ben was proud to be a Navy veteran.
Ben was owner and operator of Ben's Pest Control until he retired. Ben was very enthusiastic about his work and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and expertise. Ben never met a stranger. He loved spending time with his family and friends, vacationing, fishing, and family get togethers. Ben loved animals, especially his cats.
He was predeceased by his brothers Kenny Turner and Dennis Turner. He was survived by his wife of 49 years and the love of his life Janet Turner; 2 sons, Steven Turner (Dawn) and Michael Turner (Shannon); 5 grandchildren, Trevor Rigsby, Caleb Haskell, Madison Taylor (Zach), Cheyanne Turner, and Micah Turner; brother, Henry Turner; sister- in laws, Weada Alderman (Wayne), Linda Powell; family friend, Greg Foskey; and many nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on February 20, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The committal service will follow at Riverside Memorial Park at 1:00 pm.
