

Bernardo Santana Jr., a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, and friend, passed away peacefully in Jacksonville, Florida. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Bernardo lived a life marked by service, dedication, and love for his family and community.
Bernardo proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 21 years. Following his distinguished military career, he continued his commitment to public service as a civil servant until his retirement. His strong work ethic, integrity, and sense of duty earned him the respect of all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bernardo found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time at the beach, where he enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the ocean. An enthusiast of technology and the outdoors, he especially enjoyed flying his drone and sharing the unique perspectives it captured. His warm personality, generous spirit, and genuine kindness touched the lives of many.
Bernardo is survived by his son, Bernardo Santana III; his granddaughter, Dominique Bordalo; and his great-grandson, George. He was loved by many family members, friends, neighbors, and colleagues, all of whom will cherish the memories they shared with him.
Bernardo's legacy of service, love, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration.

Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on June 3, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location on June 3, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
