Bertha Powers Jordan, 76. Passed away Sunday afternoon at Community Hospice after a short illness. A native of Blackshear, GA. She was born April 14, 1937 to the late Clyde O. Powers and Ruth Tuten Powers. She was also preceded in death by her husband Arthur Ed Jordan Jr. Survived by daughter Becky Jordan Ross, grandchildren Jeremiah (Kristin) Ross, Jennifer Ross, Robert Ross and two great grandchildren Kaleb & Jaxtin Ross, sister Ruth P. Howe, nephew Matthew Howe, several other relatives & friends. Member of St. Johns Presbyterian Church. Active member in the Stonewall Jackson PTA & Girl scout leader. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A visitation service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 10:00am. Funeral services to follow at 11:00am in the chapel with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
