BETTY LUCILLE TASSEN PERRY, widow of Cedric Eugene Perry and daughter of Alta and Grethel Tassen, deceased, died peacefully at the age of 86 on Friday, March 8, 2013, at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
Betty was happiest when she was at Southside Baptist Church and wanted everyone she came into contact with to know that she was a Christian. She was well known by many acquaintances and close friends for her sweet smile and disposition. Her heart’s desire was to join Cedric, her husband of 51 years, in Heaven.
Prior to retirement, Betty was proud to have been employed by A&P, Wal-Mart and the State of Florida Toll Bridges, but she considered her greatest achievement to be reflected in her five children and their families.
Betty is survived by her five children: Gary Roger Perry (Cynthia), Vanesa Perry Bowden (Aaron), Everett Lee Perry (Kathy), Bruce Allen Perry (Sheryl), and Kevin Eugene Perry (Karen), along with 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, each and every one dearly loved by her. She is also survived by her sisters Ora and Eva and her brother Ronnie, and was predeceased by her husband Cedric, sister Violet, brother Billy, grandchild Brittany and great-grandchild Ella.
