Betty Ruth Traylor, age 65, went to be with her Lord and Savior March 6, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. Betty was born May 31, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida to William and Gladys (Ferguson) O’Neal. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, as well as the founder and CEO of Sidewalk Funday School, A Children’s Church. She worked for 35 years as a Respiratory Therapist. The next 19 years she devoted to the unchurched children of Jacksonville according to Luke 4:18. Betty will be missed dearly by her loving husband of 21 years Burl Traylor; son Robert Luke Traylor; sisters Delores Hunt, Joyce Heath-O’Neal, and Linda Crawford (Dan); brothers Clyde O’Neal (Neida) and Wesley O’Neal (Terry); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive family and friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Visitation will also be 10:00 – 11:00 am Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at First Baptist Church Hobson Auditorium, 124 W Ashley, Jacksonville, Florida 32202. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow the services at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
