William M. Plaster, 91, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 in Palatka, FL. He was born April 24, 1926 to George and Nannie Plaster in Madison, NC. Bill was an avid Gator fan. He loved to golf and any type of sports. Bill played in the Farm League baseball organization for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was a policeman for 30 years with the Jacksonville Sherriff’s office. Bill is preceded in death by his sons Steve Plaster and James Waldrop. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Betty, daughter Patti (Joey) Tyson, daughter-in-law Debbie Plaster, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home is serving the family. A visitation will be held at Lakeshore Baptist Church, 2365 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32210 on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 3pm-4pm. Funeral services to begin at 4pm with interment at a later date at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
