Fair winds and following seas, Staff Sergeant. You were always a hero and model for me in my childhood, as well as adulthood. I know you are much happier now, together with the one you loved so very much, and we will never forget you.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Billy's passing. My prayers & the prayers of my father are for God's blessing & grace on both Billy & his family.
As a boy, I was always so impressed by Billy Burch. I remember fondly, Billy & Joan frequently visiting at my Grandmother's house in the 1950s & 60's. From my boyish perspective then, Billy had it all. He had a sheriff's uniform, a pistol, hair like Elvis, & an extremely beautiful wife. In addition to all of that, his "uniquely Billy" attitude, was always his best attribute to me.
