Billy Joe Calhoun, 75, of Middleburg, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014. Among his greatest accomplishments are his marriage of 50 years to his wife Kathy Calhoun, his son Chris Calhoun of Ormond Beach, and his daughter Jamie Laugen of Middleburg. He has two sisters Helen Rotti and Joyce Lowe, and a brother Floyd Calhoun. Bill was a loving “Papa” to his two grandchildren Brooke Calhoun and George Tribble, and a great-grandson Tyler Calhoun. Bill served honorably in the United States Air Force, and was a devout fan of the Florida Gators. Bill was often a man of few words. However, if you knew him as a brother, husband, father, uncle, papa, or friend, you knew he loved you with all his heart and was behind you, always. Keep safe and keep watch until we see you again. The service will be Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11:00 am at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
