Brenda Faye Strickland, born July 14, 1944, in Nashville, Tennessee, entered into rest after a long and full life. In 1962, after her family moved to Jacksonville, Florida, she met the love of her life, Bill Strickland, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; her daughters, Diana (Nathan) Bowers and Donna (Jim) Williford; four grandchildren—Lex, Julia, Olivia, and AJ; and one brother and two sisters.
Faye enjoyed her church, New Hope Baptist Temple, where she was a member, and loved dining at Sonny’s on Kingsley, a favorite spot filled with many memories.
A Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, US, on March 9, 2026, at 11:00.
