Brittney T. K. López

Brittney T.K. Lopez, 27, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on February 15th. She was born in Naples, Italy and moved to Florida when she was 3 months old. She was the daughter of Katherine Lopez-Marin and Alberto Marin.

Brittney attended Lavilla School of the Arts where she studied dance and made lifelong friends. Before her untimely passing, Brittney worked at the YMCA as a lifeguard and also at Envy massage as a receptionist. She had recently begun working with the Florida Department of Health as an Apprentice Optician on January 12th 2022 and showed great promise in this field. Additionally, Brittney ran her own drop shipping business which allowed her to make extra profits while pursuing her goals.

Brittney was driven and ambitious in everything she did - be it work or leisure activities like makeup, listening to EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and hair care. A self-proclaimed lover of blue, Brittney’s bubbly personality made everyone around her smile. In her free time, Brittney loved exploring places both near and far; she even got to visit Machu Picchu in Peru! Her favorite season was winter due to its cold weather which enabled fuzzy blankets and Uggs! But more than anything else, Brittney cherished the moments spent with her family – especially when they went home to San Genaro Chapel for baptisms; where she herself had been baptized at just three months old!

Brittney TK Lopez will surely be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved her best – from family members down to friends– for everything that made up this extraordinary soul: from having a drive for success, a love for travel (especially New York City) to being an absolute natural behind the wheel of her Mercedes SLK 250 that filled several parking spots throughout Jacksonville!

Though we mourn Brittney’s passing with heavy hearts today, we take solace in knowing that she touched many lives during her 27 years 6 months 2 weeks & 2 days here - may they all find peace with the thought that ‘Death cannot kill what never dies’ - our beautiful angel is watching over us now from above! Rest in peace sweetheart!

A visitation for Brittney will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225, followed by a memorial service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
