Bruce Randall Tolman, 73, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026 to be reunited with his wife Mary Geraldine and daughter Jennifer Ozanne-Tolman. Bruce was born in Pontiac, MI on October 4, 1952 to James Edgar and Mary Lavina Tolman.
Bruce retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service, during which he served in several roles, including hull technician and pipe shop journeyman. His deployments took him around the world, and he often shared stories of his time in Vietnam, Spain, Thailand, the Caribbean, and other places. He received numerous honors, including the National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Vietnam Service and Campaign Medals. After retiring from the Navy in the early 90s, he worked several retail companies such as Eckerd Drugs, Pepsi and Canada Dry.
Bruce is survived by two brothers Richard Tolman (Terry) and Gary Tolman (Noreen), his daughters Kimberly Johnson and April Tolman, his daughter-in-law Dawn Ozanne and his six grandchildren: Danielle, Jasmine, Darius, Devon, Skylar and Kelsie.
A Graveside Service will be held at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225, on June 3, 2026, at 10:00 am.
