Bryant and I worked together. I always admired his ability to bring smiles to the faces of everyone around him. It seemed exhausting to be so happy and upbeat all the time, but he did it effortlessly. Anytime I'd ask him about it, he'd laugh it off like it wasn't a big deal. However, for those around him, it was a big deal.

Peace and love to all of his friends and family. May his memory be a blessing.

Kuya BJ was one of the first Merino cousins to visit us in Hawaii. He introduced me to MSN Messenger and allowed me to chat with his friends he’d play StarCraft with. I know it annoyed him because I just wanted to practice chatting and would talk to whoever; but Kuya BJ never said no ☺️ He just gave me his password. Thanks for always being nice to us even when we were those annoying little cousins, Kuya! Miss  and love you always 🤍

Bryant and I were friends in high school and I have such strong and positive memories of him. We played in a jazz combo that performed at his church, and I loved being a part of Bryant's incredible skill for making great music. He would come over my house and play our piano and we'd try our best to play Take Five and sound like Dave Brubeck and Paul Desmond. He was generous with his time and skill, and I believe he accompanied most if not all of the Instrumental Music majors at the Solo and Ensemble performances for our Senior year. I hadn't spoken with him since graduation, but the news of his passing is shocking and sad. My deepest condolences to his wife, family, and friends.

Bryant was such a blessing to all of us at Murray Hill United Methodist Church, so talented, so friendly and always with a smile on his face. He started as our pianist as a teenager and eventually became our music director. He was a big part of our worship team and was always willing to play where he was needed. We watched him grow into a wonderful young man and were sad to see him leave us for Chicago but knew he had other roads ahead. My  prayers go out to his family.  He was very loved by all of us.

I worked with Bryant for a couple of years. We all knew him as simply "Miano". He brought countless moments of joy and laughter to everyone who knew him, gave myself and others many fond memories, and spread his infectious positivity to all he encountered. The world was a brighter place with Bryant. His loss is felt deeply, and he will be missed in ways that cannot be measured.

I am truly heartbroken over the loss of such a gentle soul. Miano's presence was like a ray of light—whenever he entered, every room became warmer, brighter, and more joyful.

Miano's love for music and passion for teaching have left a lasting mark on my life. He generously shared himself with others, and his beautiful legacy continues to shine in the hearts of everyone he touched.

We will always treasure his radiant smile and the kindness he shared so openly.

I am sending my deepest condolences to the family and hope they find comfort in the love and cherished memories we all hold so dear.

Thank you bry. Im still speechless and thinking of those memories we had even it's just a short period of time. I will never forget the times we had,some chitchats and the time we sing together twice (Defying gravity).

Bryant was always such an amazing force of life to be around both in and out of work. He always brought laughter to a dull room along was always full of great ideas. I always enjoyed any opportunity I’ve had to work with Bryant and he will be missed. My condolences to his family.

Miano will be sorely missed.  He brought a light to all the things and people he touched. It was my pleasure to see his creativity, thoughtfulness, drive, and kindness elevate everyone and everything he did when we worked together.

We may not be able to see you in person but we can only heard so many good things about you from Darrah and her family here in the Philippines, we are so sudden from this heart breaking news and we are so sad specially for Darrah, All I can say is that you will truly be missed Bry and no one could ever replace you specially in the heart of everyone you touches. May you help our dear friend Darrah to move forward because we know how much she loves you in this lifetime till the next, she prayed for you and waited for you to be her husband and we know that your passing could really affect her specially knowing that her mom just passed away last November 2024. I’m very sad to hear about Bryant’s passing. I only knew him briefly, when I and some friends of mine worked with him to back up Jim Moody’s chorus about 15 years ago. He was very fun to hang out with at rehearsals and went out for Mexican food with us. He was truly a gifted piano player. I played bass and enjoyed watching him play and trying to follow his left hand around. Deepest condolences to his family.

Years ago, when Bryant did the musical direction for The Full Monty at PBTS, I knew I could sing but I didn't have the confidence to do so in that setting comfortably. I was surrounded by other men and women I felt far outweighed my musical theatre abilities. Bryant, however, knew how to relate to me in a way that made me feel grounded, safe, and more confident. I remember fondly his laughter and smiles throughout some long rehearsals and the energy he had behind a piano was as fun to watch as anything going on on the stage. 

To his family, thank you for helping shape such a kind man and my thoughts are with all of you.

Why did you leave so soon?  You've just been married to our sister Darrah for a month but it feels like we've known you for so long. You were generous, kind and a cool brother-in-law. Such a beautiful soul. 

Thank you so much for all the love you gave to our family especially to our kids, Priam and Bubba. We will miss our videoke sessions and all the fun times we shared in the Philippines.
