Burnice Thomas Gamble

Burnice Thomas Gamble, age 86, passed away on March 12, 2023 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Starke, FL on December 5, 1936 to Floy Karla Thomas. After graduating high school, she married Fred R. Gamble on July 2, 1960. Burnice worked for and retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company, after 42 years of service. She was a sports fanatic, especially the University of Florida “GATORS”. She is survived by daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Melissa Gamble; son-in-law, James Vincent Quinn; also many cousins, nieces and a nephew. Preceded in death by mother, Floy Karla Thomas; loving husband of 40 years, Fred R. Gamble; daughter, Elissa Ann Quinn; and sister, Clarice Stephens. A graveside service for Burnice will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11am at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
