Calvin L. Harris Sr., age 74, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL. Calvin was born August 30, 1938 in Jacksonville, Florida to August B. and Audrey Mae (Hartley) Harris. Calvin served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam and retired after 21 years. He was preceded by his father August B. Harris Sr. and one brother August B. Harris Jr. Survivors include his mother Audrey Mae Harris; one son C L Harris (Becky); one daughter Mitzi Brooks (Herbert); two brothers Ronald Harris (Donna) and Ted Harris (Janice); three sisters Dolores Harris Robinson, Barbara Harris Sloan, and Portia Harris Ferguson (Henry); and seven grandchildren. Family will receive family and friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Friday, January 11, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Interment will follow services in Riverside Memorial Park.
