Henry Calvin Knowles Sr. joined his loved ones in heaven on July 28, 2019, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on August 12, 1936, in Jacksonville to parents Richard Calvin and Mary Margaret Knowles. Calvin was a proud member of New Beginnings Baptist Church. He had a passion for antique cars and worked in construction for over 50 years.
Calvin is predeceased by both of his parents, as well as his brothers; Alvah and Paul Knowles.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Edwina Nettles Knowles, their children; Sherry Simmons (Donnie), Annette Erwin (Tommy), and Calvin Knowles Jr. (Sherry), his brothers; Theodore Knowles (Eloise), Earl Knowles (Linda), Sister – Helen Zulli (Mike), grandchildren; Michael, Neal, Jeramie, Daniel, Scott, LJ, Sonya, Tally, Melissa, Shawn, and Cory, and 18 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral Services in honor of Calvin will be held at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. on Saturday August 3, 2019, beginning with a visitation at 2:00 P.M. with a celebration of his Life to follow at 3:00 P.M.
