Carol Dabbs Stewart, age 69, passed away April 4, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida. Carol was born on September 10, 1948 in Americus, Georgia to Chester and Clara Dabbs. She worked for the University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians Group for over 20 years, and retired after many years of dedicated service. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, and friend; she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carol is survived by her loving and faithful husband of almost 52 years, Richard Stewart; one son Richard L. Stewart, Jr.; one daughter Michelle Stewart; one grandson Jonathan Stewart; one sister Linda Dabbs Davis (Monty); and her uncle William (Bill) “U.B” Dabbs of Kansas.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park. A visitation will be held beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, please designate donations to the COPD Foundation at copdfoundation.org in memory of Carol.
