Carolyn A. Ellison, 79, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born May 29, 1935 to James and Pauline Boone Sr. in Cordele, GA. Carolyn faithfully attended Marietta Church of God and in her earlier years loved to dance. She is preceded in death by one daughter Judy Bitz, one brother James Owen Boone Jr. and one sister Dorothy Miller. Carolyn is survived by three sons Eddie (Cindy) Norman, Rodney (Pat) Norman, Terry (Nanatte) Rewis, one daughter Paulette (Michael) Mills, one brother Jerry (Susan) Boone, four sisters Laverne (Dewey) Harrell, Faye Johns, Betty (Eddie) Thomas, Brenda Boone, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 10:30-11:30am at Marietta Church of God, 8076 Ramona Blvd. W., Jacksonville, FL 32221. Funeral services to begin at 11:30am following visitation. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park at 1:30pm.
