

Carrie Rae Ellis, 33, passed away on December 5th 2013 at home in Jacksonville, Florida. Carrie was born in Orange Park, FL January 22, 1980. She graduated from the Peterson Academy. Carrie was diagnosed with a rare cancer in May 2012. Dr. Menefee and the staff at Mayo clinic helped Carrie accomplish her goal of beating adrenal cancer. Carrie was an inspiration to many; she freely shared her belief in never giving up. She enjoyed home-schooling her daughter until she was too sick to do so. Carrie loved animals and never met a stranger. She enjoyed speaking to someone she did not know just to brighten their day. With Christ as her Savior, Carrie joins her Grandfather- Ray Meadows and her Grandmother- June Ellis in heaven. Carrie is survived by her daughter Autumn Paige Ellis-Mann, the love of her life William Mann, Stepson-Taylor Mann, Mother- Sue Ellis, Father- Gary Ellis (Amy), Brother- Jake Ellis, Paternal Grandfather- Fred Ellis, Maternal Grandmother- Jean Meadows, numerous aunts, uncles and a host of long-time friends. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax. FL 32205, where a public visitation will be held, Monday Dec 23, 2013 from 11:00am – 1:00 pm; followed by a funeral service at 1pm and interment at 2:00 pm at Riverside Memorial Park, JSO Chaplain Clarence Jarrell officiating. As Carrie would have wanted, attendees are encouraged to a comfortable and relaxed dress code for the services.
