Cathy Marlene Harrison, long time Jacksonville resident, passed away after a brief illness on August 27th, 2025. She worked for Blue Cross for 25 years before retiring to enjoy her life with her husband, Charlie, her daughters, and grandchildren.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Marlin and Alice Shipe, her husband and love of her life, Charlie Harrison, and her sister, Patty Boyd. She is survived by her daughters Debbie Gaynor (Jeffrey) and Susan Morgan-Leu (Shawna); her brother-in-law, Skip Boyd, 5 amazing granddaughters, Allison Lucas, Emily Lucas, Lindsey Jones (Jason), Casie Butzirus (Robbie), and Tiffany Washington (Michael), 2 wonderful grandsons, Jonathan Ubl and Matthew Ubl (Lauren Kenney), and 6 great grandchildren, Reese, Micah, Myles, Rylee, Reagan, and PJ.
Cathy, lovingly known as Mom and Grammy, will be dearly missed by all her friends and family.
A visitation for Cathy will be held Saturday, September 6,2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225, followed by a Celebration of her life starting at 11:00 AM. A reception at the funeral home will follow the service.
