Cecil E. Luckie

Cecil Edward Luckie, 92 of Jacksonville passed away on June 21, 2013. He was preceded by his parents Adel and Curt Luckie of Greenville, AL, five brothers and four sisters. Luckie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years Margaret Luckie, daughters Alice Taylor (Joe), Sandra Perdue (Jerry), and Sara Culpepper (Bob), brother Judson Luckie (Lila Mae) and sister Jennie V. Waller, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Luckie was a member of Jones Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and being with family and friends. He worked many years at Specialty Tank Equip. Co., retired from the Jacksonville Shipyard, and worked several years with Winn Dixie. Luckie will be remembered for his love of the Lord, kind heart, and determining spirit. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd.,Jax., FL. 32205. Visitation will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 10:00 am. Pastor Jeff Ray will be officiating. Flowers are welcome or donations can be made to North East Florida Hospice or the building fund for Jones Road Baptist Church.
