Cecil Edward “Butch” Tyler, 69, passed away March 25, 2012. He was born November 24, 1942 in Charleston, SC to the late Edward William and Reba Tyler. He was a longtime resident of Jacksonville and served in the US Army. He dedicated his life to raising his grandson, Matthew, participating in Karate and Boy Scouts events.
Family members include his wife of 36 years Patty Tyler, son Cecil Tyler, daughters Amanda (predeceased), Hope and Lyn Tyler, brothers Bill, Mike, Tony (Tami) and David (predeceased) Tyler, sister Carlene Young (Fritz), grandchildren, Matthew Morgan, Taren Tyler and Kylie Howard, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Butch’s life will be held at 2pm, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N., Jacksonville. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hardage-giddenschapelhills.com
