

Charles “Bud” Leland Westmoreland, Sr., 77, passed away on August 30, 2015 at his home in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by family. He was born in Copper Hill, TN on December 18, 1937 to the late George E. and Mamie Fergeson Westmoreland.
He was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather (known as Papa). He believed in hard work and was twice retired 25 years with Shell Oil Company and 18 years with Newsom Transport Company. He loved his Lord, his Country and above all his family. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife Montine Westmoreland whom he was married to for 56 years. He is survived by his son Charlie Westmoreland, Jr. and daughter Sharon Chappell (Mark); all residing in Jacksonville, FL. "Bud"
had three grandchildren Christine, Garrett and Savanna; one great-grandchild Gracie. He is survived by two brothers LeRoy Westmoreland of Cecil, Ga and Kenneth Westmoreland of Kennesaw, Ga and two sisters Carolyn Rice of DuPont, GA and Marilyn Smith of Valdosta, GA and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones for a visitation on Saturday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m.with the interment immediately following at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park.
