The things I remember most about my cousin, Charles Russell; He was fun-loving, always greeted you with a big smile on his face and loved his country and his family. He was so much like his Dad (down to that big smile). He just loved life. I know that he has won the victory and has fought a good fight, but to those he leaves behind, there is a huge void. He will be missed. Thank you God for the memories. Much love to his family.

Uncle Charlie was very generous. He was a tutor helping me master algebra. He was a mentor in work ethics and industriousness in his engineering career. He always had a hand full of home improvement jobs in progress. Most of all he loved to slip me a little pocket money from time to time.
I got to spend some days with him earlier this year, fixing up the house, he was grateful and excited, the way he always got excited with getting things done. I even got his old Cadillac running after it was parked for 5 or more years. (it needed a lot!) . I've never seen him smile harder and longer driving that old Cadillac around the neighborhood one last time. It felt good to give back to Uncle Charlie. I'm glad i was able to.
His spirit and nature remained true until the end.

We will miss and always remember Uncle Charlie’s energy, his smile, unique chuckle, endless generosity and spontaneous last minute shopping trips on Christmas Eve.
He will always be in our hearts.

Carol and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you on the passing of Charlie. I went to Forrest HS with Charlie, rode motorcycles, and hung out at Benny Welch's Esso service station. Charlie will be remembered for his fun loving personality and his fondness for Aretha Franklins "RESPECT" and "Wolley Bully" by Sam the Sham . Charlie was a good guy, gone too soon. R.I.P. Charlie
