WELLS- Charles Dixon Wells III, 81, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Monday, February 2, 2015. Charlie retired after 31 years with the United States Postal Service as a Training Officer for the Postal Employee Development Center (PEDC). He also had numerous jobs he enjoyed after retirement and retired from EquiCredit Corporation (Bank of America). He was predeceased by his mother, Marion Horne Wells and his father, Charles Dixon Wells, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Thea Harrell Wells; his son Brett Wells (Maria); his daughters Becky Mattix(Mike), Lisa Darnall, Tavia Waterman (Scott), and Juli Williams (Danny); his grandchildren Jason, Tommy, Alaina, Olivia, Logan, and Trevor; and his great grandchildren Chase and Gage. Family will receive family and friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Friday, February 6, 2015 at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
