Charlie L. Chauncey Sr.

Charlie L. Chauncey, Sr., 68 of Bryceville, lost his battle of a lengthy illness on April 26, 2013 at home surrounded by family. Charlie is preceded by his parents; Barbara and Norman Chauncey, grandparents; Nellie and A.J. Chauncey, and son; Tommy Chauncey. He is survived by his loving and devote wife of 20 years Scarlett Chauncey, brothers; Michael Chauncey and John Chauncey; children; Charlene Price, Chuckie Chauncey, and step-daughter; Stephanie Crutcher, grandchildren; Brandi McElroy, Kaitlyn Price, Taylor Price, and Drew Chauncey, and great-grandchildren; Hunter McElroy and Raelyn McElroy. Charlie proudly served his country in The United States Coast Guard for 30 years. Charlie loved being with family and friends. His hobbies included golfing and the great outdoors. Charlie will be remembered for his kind heart, warm smile and great sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax., FL 32205. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Inurnment service will be held at graveside on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Riverside Memorial Park located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax., FL 32205.In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Community Hospice or Jax.
