Christian Gainey, known to all as “Lucky,” passed away unexpectedly in a motorcycle accident at the age of 23. Born on December 26, 2002, in Calvert County, Maryland, he carried a lifelong love of motorcycles and an even greater love for the people around him.
From an early age, Christian was drawn to engines and the open road. He loved working on bikes as much as riding them, and that passion led him straight to Adamec Harley-Davidson in Orange Park after high school. He was proud of his work there and of the brotherhood he found in the motorcycle community. He was part of Street Royalty, moved from Daybreaker to Wheels, and was respected by his family at the dealership and by his brothers at WOS. Everyone in town knew him by his smile and by the way he made people feel welcome.
Christian had a gift for seeing the best in people and treating everyone with kindness and respect. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, including those experiencing homelessness. HE LOVED MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE, and he was deeply devoted to his family and friends. He especially enjoyed playing with his little brother and was known for the way he showed up for the people he loved.
He attended J. Allen Axson Elementary and Holy Spirit Catholic School, spent his ninth-grade year at Bishop Kenny High School where he wrestled and played football, and graduated from Sandalwood High School. Throughout his life he remained loyal, generous, and full of life.
Christian is survived by his mother, Brandie Zweifel; his brothers, Logan Gainey and Samuel Starzacher; his sister, Lillian Sullivan; his father, Wallace Gainey; Lance Pischly and Michael Starzacher, who were father figures to him; his grandfather, Ernest Zweifel; his grandmother, Shirley Gambrell; his aunt and uncle, Jacqueline Hill and Roger Zweifel; his Harley-Davidson family at Adamec in Orange Park; and all his brothers at WOS. He is gone, but he will never be forgotten. His smile, his kindness, and the way he loved people will live on in everyone who was LUCKY enough to know him. 777🍀
