

He was born in Waterman, IL but lived the majority of his childhood in Lake City, FL. He served in the Navy from 1941 to 1951. His field was electronics and his responsibility was working on aircraft. He served in the Air Force from 1952 until he retired from active duty in 1969. He loved to fish, play cards and Yahtzee. He also loved sports, particularly his Florida Gators. He was an active member of Jones Road Baptist church until he became ill and could no longer attend. He loved his Lord and Savior. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Theodora and Charles Myers and his son, Gary Myers. He is survived by his daughter, Sandi Evans, grandchildren, Deena (Kevin) Ernst , David (Emily) Myers and Kelly Myers, great-grandchildren, Kayla Myers and Jacob Myers, brother, Richard (Linda) Myers and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, with burial to follow.
